Set up Self Check-in with QR codes<\/h2>\n\n

With Self Check-in, you use an existing QR code as the cloakroom identifier \u2013 instead of generating a new QR code cloakroom tag for every guest. This article explains how Self Check-in works in Tapcoat, which QR codes you can use, and which events the workflow pays off for.<\/p>\n\n

What is Self Check-in?<\/h2>\n\n

With Self Check-in, no new cloakroom ticket is created first. Instead, an existing QR code serves as the unique link between guest and item. The code is scanned at check-in and linked to the item dropped off. At pickup, you scan the same code again \u2013 the item is returned quickly and unambiguously.<\/p>\n\n

External and internal QR codes<\/h2>\n\n

You have two options \u2013 and you can also combine them:<\/p>\n\n

  • External QR code:<\/strong> a code your guests already carry, for example from their event ticket or in their wallet.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Internal QR code:<\/strong> a code that Tapcoat generates and that is valid for the cloakroom only.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n

    In mixed setups, some guests check in with an external ticket code, others with an internal Tapcoat code.<\/p>\n\n

      • Step 2:<\/strong> Your team scans the code with the Tapcoat app.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
