An internet connection is required for regular operation. However, the system is designed to run stably and reliably even under difficult network conditions.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What connection do you need?<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tapcoat works even with a very weak internet signal \u2014 check-ins are processed reliably even at minimal bandwidth. The app is optimized for mobile use and transfers only small data packets per transaction.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Supported connection types:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Wi-Fi<\/strong> \u2014 recommended for fixed cloakroom positions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Mobile data: 4G\/LTE or 5G<\/strong> \u2014 a reliable alternative<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>3G or weak signal<\/strong> \u2014 basic functions available, real-time reporting may be delayed<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Offline operation<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If the internet connection is briefly interrupted, Tapcoat temporarily stores transactions locally on the device. As soon as the connection is restored, the cached data is automatically synced with the server.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What this means for ongoing operations:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Staff can keep working during a brief connection outage \u2014 check-ins are recorded as usual<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The guest only receives their digital pass after a successful sync \u2014 if the connection drops, there may be a short delay<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The dashboard and real-time reporting are not up to date while offline \u2014 they are refreshed once the connection is back<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"has-background wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"background-color:#f0f4ff;padding-top:16px;padding-right:16px;padding-bottom:16px;padding-left:16px\"><strong>Recommendation:<\/strong> Always test the network connection at your venue in advance \u2014 ideally the day before the event and at the same time of day. Large events with many guests can put a heavy load on the local mobile network.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Venues without internet<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For venues without their own internet access \u2014 for example historic buildings, basements, or outdoor areas without Wi-Fi \u2014 you can set up a local network with a mobile router.
